Took this over the weekend at the Somerset Patriots game in NJ. The batter struck out and there were 2 outs in the inning (as indicated by the ump). C&C appreciated.

maybe just me but I think this would have more impact concept wise if it were shot reversed with batter and his dejected face in foreground and ump signalling 2 outs in background. Could have it either with batter focused and ump blurry, or ump focused and batter in foreground blurry. Or maybe this angle with batter closer to home plate. In this case, I hardly notice the batter as he is obscured by catcher.

I think this is a good example though of looking for shots that don't include action but that tell a good story. Just needs some refining I think.

I think if the batter was in focus and the ump was signaling 2 outs (blurred), this would really change the photo and provide more impact. A shame that you were not on the other side of the field.

But a great idea in looking for something different.

Don't let these comments take away from what you were going for here.
