Hi guys, can anyone recommend a good spot to take some pictures of the strip in Vegas? Or just a good view of all the hotels in general? I looked into the ones below but I doubt the bars/lounges would allow a giant tripod :(

-Ghostbar at the Palms, has tall plexi-glass?
-Paris Eiffel tower, has metal fence that might obstruct the view
-Stratosphere, unsure.....
-Voodoo lounge at Mandalay Bay

Leaving tomorrow, thanks!

The Eiffel tower has spots in the fence you can shoot through (special camera holes) though they don't allow tripods. Sounded like a monopod may be acceptable though.

Great! Wasn't sure if it's worth the 15 bucks but now I'll definitely make a trip up there. I don't have a monopod, but maybe there are things I can set my camera on?

So far I'm planning to stop by the Eiffel tower and Stratos' observation deck.

Voodoo lounge and ghost bar both have nice views too but does anyone know how easily it is to get a picture (not point and shoot) there? I'm thinking it might not be worth it since because of the setting.

I tried shooting at the Eiffel tower and in my opinion not worth the time or money, people won't get out of your way, constantly pushing and bumping into you. I spent more than an hour up there being patient and wave after wave of new people would start the frustrating battle over again.

I found that walking down to TI and getting on the bridge there gave a good look down the strip and I was able to stand up there with tripod with nobody bothering me. You've got a few bridges up and down the strip that are easy to shoot off of.

While I was there the bridges had very dirty (and scratched up) glass about 7ft tall on both sides of them.

Nice pics.

Eiffel tower can be your best location at this point of time.

The walkway from MGM to New York New York is a good place to shoot down the strip. There's a spot by NY NY where you can put a tripod and shoot over the wall with no fence to shoot through.
