I've taken several thousand pictures of my daughter over the past 9 months. I never realized how easy she is to photograph. I'm guessing that I can predict her movements by now.

This picture, however, is of my cousin, & her daughter. She(daughter), was the most difficult thing to capture. She NEVER sat still, and ducked the camera like it was a sawed-off shotgun. I had to use the 70-200 4L, and "hide" to get anything.

This was the best I could do.

...I think I'll stick with taking pictures of my little monster.

Even so, your cousin should be pleased with the result. It has a definite 60's feel to it that I like a lot :)

Thanks mijbril.

I'm still a little worried about showing the pictures.

Here's a couple more from the day...

I love the third one with mother & daughter in the same pose. I also like the silhouttte in the fourth one.
Sometimes I find it necessary to go to burst mode, AI servo, fast shutter speed, pull the trigger and track the missle (child) as best I can and hope for a good one now and then :-).
It is sort of like a real world application of Heisenberg's Uncertainy Principle ;-)

Thanks Skip.

Do you think it would be mean to duct tape a toddler down, so you can actually focus?

You are the 1st one to mention that.

I didn't think anyone would notice. :)
