Purging the Nitrous system. It gets rid of unwanted nitrous oxide from the lines, so that when the car launched the engine gets pure nitrous straight away

Purging the nitrous does two things:
1. The purge solenoid is just before the nitrous solenoids. Purging the feed line from the bottle(s) removes the air from the line, to ensure a solid flow when the nitrous solenoid(s) is activated.
2. The purge is another way to relieve pressure in the bottle(s). There is an optimal pressure for a nitrous bottle to be, which is around 1050psi. Too low or too high of a pressure can greatly affect the power.
