Looks like an illustration from Michael Langford's 35mm Handbook. I still have my 1985 edition.

A very nice illustration.
While I won't blast you for scanning and posting a copyrighted image (this might be considered fair use), I think you at least should have identified the source. Thanks to PeaPicker for that info.
Where it gets complicated is when you change lenses to manage DOF, but then change the distance to obtain the same field of view. The results aren't always what you expect.

How do you like your 80-200 f2.8L ?
I bought it to use at my son's soccer games, but he dropped soccer. :cry: As a result I haven't been able to use it that much. It's too big to carry around along with two youngish kids.
