A candid that I cropped resized using photoshop <thanks to everyone who helped with that!> and I used fill flash and auto levels with contrast and brightness.......any thoughts?

Why do I get the urge to go over there and give this guy a haircut?? :-)
It's a cute shot........the focus seem a bit off for some reason.

Thanks! Probably becuase the shutter speed was lower than what the shot called for. I had finished taking pictures of him a few minutes before this shot. His dog came around the corner and lept up on him and I got this shot........
Please don't cut his hair, I like it ;-)

Why is he choking the dog? :-D
I've never gotten good results from using Auto Levels...assuming that you used Photoshop. The color looks off on this end.
Also, contrast and brightness by themselves do not do much to bring out what is probably the most interesting element in this photo; the part of his face that shows through the mass of hair. Curves adjustments might have been able to extract more detail in this area.
eh, 2¢ worth

Hmm.........trying to remember if I used auto-levels....I may have, so I will keep this in mind.
As far as the contrast and such...please explain what you are talking about. I am extremely new to photoshop and am not familiar with all the functions yet, and I have photoshop elements as well <if that affects my options of tools>
Thanks for the input!
PS: He's choking the dog because the dog likes it.......lol.........if you saw the rest of the picture, you would see vigorous belly scratching :-)

Why is the dog scratching the guys belly? Bokeh seems weird. What lens was used?

LOL....Blaze <aka: dog> is getting his belly scratched vigorously.
I used a 75-300 USM lens.......what may be the problem here is that I was using a very slow shutter speed for an action shot........This was an unexpected shot from the series I took of him alone in the trees......I am attempting to play with glamour photography and my sainted husband is my victim.....uhhhh, I mean model....;-)
