Hi there. I'm new to the site. I used a Powershot Pro 1 for both of these shots.

Some of the beach houses in Capitola, just south of Santa Cruz.

Gorgeous colors in the first one, and I really line the symmetry in the second one. Might want to clone out the stick thats laying half in and half out the water in the second one. Other than that, terrific job!

Welcome to the forum Wil, it’s nice to have you with us. I am looking forward to many more posts like your first shot.

Your first photograph is great. I love the colors in that picture.

On your second shot the composition is wonderful.

Like BecacNH said you may want to get rid of the stick that is ½ in and out of the water in the second picture. If you can remember the quote in my signature when you take a picture it will help you to become a better photographer. “See what the camera sees.”

Great shots. Love the pastels and the composition of the first one. Stick doesn't bother me, but it would be more "graphically" appealing if not there since it is that type of photo.

aww man thank you for the reminder of my home towns. Thats shoreline lake aint it. Ahh I sure do miss the coast.
