Does anyone know how to work out the angle of view for the 15mm fisheye lens. This is a full frame 180 degree lens on a 35mm frame.

the 180 deree view is applied across the diagonal of a 35mm frame

I'm not sure that the 1.6 factor is as straightforward in this case.

ie what effective angle of view is achieved.

I know many of you are not happy with the distortion caused by this lens however there are software programs which can convert it back into a rectilinear projection.

FOV w/ a 15 deg. fish w/ the 1.6 factor is as follows:

landscape: 88.0 deg.
portrait: 57.9 deg.
diagonal: 107 deg.

and read this! http://luminous-landscape.com/reviews/imagealign.shtml

that being said, I have a 8mm fish on order for VR work:

landscape: 178 deg.
portrait: 111 deg.
diagonal: n/a, as this is a circular fisheye. the 15mm is full-frame.

full-screen QTVR w/ the D60 + 8mm fisheye: http://panoramas.dk/d60/index.html
(you GOTTA check out the examples here!)
