Need help please!

I am using the Rebel XTI, all of a sudden I've noticed my photos have been really choppy and "pixelated", I know thats not the right word for it, but I'm not sure what else to say to describe it. It's like they are printed in a newspaper or something, with little dots. What could cause this? I have the quality set to LARGE and I've even reset all my settings.

If you would post an example then responses and answers will come much easier to those that might like to help. The image should have the exif data intact.
