Hello I am shooting a VERY small wedding in a park tomorrow afternoon. I'm not that nervous since it will be my favorite uncle and with no payment. Still, I am nervous to a point. I was thinking of just going there to wing it, but I decided I may need some encouragement.
First of all, I'm looking for a wedding checklist. Things I should be taking pictures of during and after the ceremony.
Second of all, on my 300D what WB should I be using, in a sunny day at a park.
I lost my manual and I don't know what the icons mean. Could someone list them out for me in order?
Thirdly, I thought I had Custom WB all figured out until I read there is a "custom" icon on the WB wheel. After you set the WB photo in the menu will AWB work to set custom WB? Or is there a specific "custom" WB icon? Or should I still be using the icon relative to my current conditions?
Thanks
Peter

You can download a copy of the manual from the Canon USA web site. Go to EOS and the DR, then choose Support | downloads and you'll see the manuals there.
in order to use custom WB, you'll need to both select the reference photo via the menu and set the white balance to the Custom icon using the WB button and the wheel. As to whether to use CWB or one of the "canned" white balances, that's up to you and the weather. If it seems like a "stock" (sunny, cloudy) situation, use that. If the sun's coming and going, use AWB. Most of the WB icons are fairly self-explanatory. CWB looks like an inverted (shallow) triangle over two smaller right triangles.

Don't forget to take photos of the details, as well as guests during the ceremony, especially the parents if you can get up front.
I don;t know much about the 300D. I shoot with a 1DmarkII. During the ceremony and formals I shoot RAW, on auto white balance. These are the most important shots, so I like the added security of RAW.
Have fun!

I spent 3 intensive months preparing for my first wedding. Have a read of this (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=75678), it might help.

Thanks guys for all the help and advice. I did the wedding today and spent an hour before hand getting my exposure and settings correct. I think it turned out really well. I'll attach a nice pic for you all.
