do you really need on that big? Wouldn't the smaller ones here (http://www.beanbags.com/bean-bag-furniture/kids-furniture/anywhereloungerbeanbagchairsmall1.cfm) be fine for newborns??

In my opinion, unless you are pushed for storage space, the larger the beanbag, the better. (Actually, there is a limit even there -- those giant Love Sacs are way too big!) They are just so much more versatile when they are large, even for tiny newborns. Anyone who has used very large ones a lot, with babies and children of all ages, will probably understand why I say this.

I haven't used a newborn nest, but from looking at it...it doesn't look squooshy enough to me. They need to be soft enough and firm enough and that looks too firm. A doggie bed with a garbage bag on it to waterproof it might do just as good a job, for less money. Again though, I have never used one, my opinion comes only from looking at it, and seeing the photos on the website that were shot on it. Having used large beanbags for years, which are so versatile, I can't see where that is an improvement. IMO.

For those using cloth beanbags - do you put a trash bag or something underneath a blanket to protect from "accidents?"

Thanks! Doing my first 2 newborn shoots in the next week. So looking forward to it!You had better post some shots from the sessions.

Also, I noticed the new last name... Congrats. Also like the new(er) web site design and wedding package names.

Ha, hey Moe, long time no see! Hope things are good.

Thank you and thank you! I decided brighter was probably better in the wedding and boutique portrait market. I still have some changes I'd like to make to the site as I find time to figure it out, but it'll do for now. Finally happy with my logo.

I'll post some up for a true critique when I finish editing the session, but if you'd like to see a few now, here's his facebook preview http://www.facebook.com/pages/Leesburg-VA/MoxiePhotos-Dancer-Spence/120120484543?ref=ts#!/album.php?aid=203581&id=120120484543&ref=mf

I don't usually put so many on fb, but this session was a gift to a friend. :)
