Hello everyone,

I took this photo yesterday. I believe it be an American Toad. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Wonderful shot here, Great DOF and very sharp details and colors look great, Can't help on the ID at all though.

Ah, great shot of a colorful toad. I like the image just the way it is.

You're quite correct it is indeed an American toad, nice sharp rendering too.

Beautiful image (if that adjective ever fits a toad).

Very similar to the toads we have over here, ours are darker, they are a real menace as they were introduced in the early 1900's to Queensland to eat the sugar cane beetles but all they did was spread to most other states and kill off the native wild life , birds, reptiles and anything else that might try to eat them , the poison sack is evident above his front leg, they even kill dogs. I kike the sharpness of the shot but not the subject matter.

Thank you very much Maureen, Reigh, Eric, cfcRebel, Ron, Stan, Beeclose, Bob and Raj for your nice comments. They are much appreciated. I had taken several shots of this cooperative American Toad and was not sure which one to post.

I will post this one as well. I do not know which is the better one?

From one New Brunswicker (former) to another I say great captures Maz. Wonderful detail and colour. I think that I prefer the first one because I find the grey stick distracting.
