5D Mark III

I was trading e-mail with this guy who's selling his 1Ds MII for 3,100 euros which is roughly $3900 (a rip off if you ask me). He was pretty much looking down on me and swayed me that I was looking for 5D and wait for the 5D III which he said will be announced this September in Photokina. I'm not so sure how reliable that is but he's saying his a CPS member and a working professional :rolleyes:. What a .....

He doesn't know. I am a member of CPS, they don't tell you that sort of info.

I don't really believe things unless I see it anyways, It was surprising that this guy is either trying to rip off military personnel and dependents or got ripped of himself by the european market and trying recoup some of it. he was selling at a military online yardsale by the way.

Photokina is a good place for such an announcement - there may be one coming - but there might not be.

I'd not bet either way.
