S30 LCD Flicker???

Ok guys,

I just picked up an S30. Takes great pictures but the LCD screen is driving me nuts! I have two questions for you:

1) Is it normal for the LCD screen to flicker (horizontal lines and "snow-like" appearance) when using it to take pictures/adjust setting/record video?

2) If the above IS a normal thing, has Canon fixed this problem with any of the newer models, like the S45, G3 etc?

Nope, it's not a normal thing. If it's still possible just go exchange it.

Exchanged the camera and that solved the problem. Thanks for your help :)
