Late afternoon, XT/350D and Kit Lens. RAW then selectively processed in PS using curves and usm for local contrast. Original was quite dull so I was going for a high dynamic range/velvia film look.

Thanks Joe, did you take the image that's your avatar? Use of shadow and leading lines is brilliant

Nice picture. The prospective and color is great. it dosen't look like the kind of beach that you would layout on or go running.

That looks brilliant, I love it. How long was your exposure? The water looks beautiful, as do the clouds. I'll have to go there when I'm up that coast next time!

On lowtide there's usually a little sand Ryno, depends whether we've had much swell or not too (erosion).

Thanks Anna, it was 3.2 secs, forced by stopping right down to F22..meaning that during post pro I got see the lovely dust specs that are already on my sensor:( The whole national park is worth a visit, the Noosa side in great in the afternoon when there aren't too many tourists and the swell isnt up or in the mornings try the Sunshine Beach side.

Thats beautiful! Reminds me of the Lake Superior shoreline in northern Michigan here in the US. Very nice!

WOW! You seem to have got everything right: composition, light - amazing- and colours.

Did you use a longer shutter speed by using a ND filter? I'm guessing by the foamy look of the sea water.

Anyway, nice work.:D

Thanks guys, I managed the slow shutter speed by stopping right down to F22. Looking at the exif my polarizer was probably on there too (practically lives on my 18-55 lol) so that would have been as effective as a 2 stop ND.

lol Burgoid, that's just a shot of me being a fool in an empty carpark see <Here> (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v333/JakeC/phobia.jpg)

Thanks again for having a look, I'd forgotten about this upload.

I love Noosa. I have a great pic I took from the lookout up on the hill there. I wish I was up there on the beach right now. Nice picture!!

I think I actually have a pic I took on my EOS1 film camera on that very beach. I remember sitting on those rocks and how uncomfortable it was :)

Good to see another local and XT user, it's Johnsons or Little Cove as it's known to the tourists. Just around from First Point. Noosa National Park offers a few good spots for seascapes when there aren't too many people around. I was working on a series but it's been put on hold until I can afford an 17-40L lol
