Hi Pekka,
I tried to modifiy my profile because I entered my time zone incorrectly when I registered, but I was unable to access that feature.

I got an error saying:
The username/password you entered is invalid.
Even though I am logged in.

Just thought I would run that by you.
Thanks

I tried it many times and it should work.

Remember that password is case-sensitive (did you have caps lock on?). Have the forum email you the password so you can check it.

Got it, Pekka.
I did log in with curby instead of Curby.
That made a big difference.
Thanks

I had set my Time Zone incorrectly when I originally registered. I do not understand how all of those Time Zone coordinates work. I have a large globe in my tv room that has some of this on it, but I am still confused. I am from New York City, NY. What should I enter?

Thanks

Hey Curby,
At first when I logged in, the time and date shown on the home page was incorrect for my time zone in California. I later found that because my cookies were not enabled, the time was displayed wrong. I then enabled my cookies and relogged in. Now the date and time on the home page reflects the correct date and time for me in California. I assume this is what is supposed to be displayed (?). I have my time zone set to Gmt-08 PST.
You should be at Gmt-05 EST, and just for an experiment, I changed my time zone to this, and the home page displayed NY time....so it should work for you. Don't know why you're having a hard time...try again. Talk to you later.

Yes Nahau, thanks it worked.
Everytime I made a post I would change it. Evenually I Got the right one. Mayme there should be a "Time Zone Chat: Section here at CDPF.
Thanks again Nahau.

I think it's time we get some more people over here. What's the best way to do it. Pekka will you post a link on your home page for people to discover?

Hey Pekka, I'm confused on the time zone also! I live in New Orleans, Louisiana. What zone am I in? Central Standard time in US.

LOL

In Windows, click on your clock and bring up the Date/Time Properties window. Voila, the GMT offset is displayed in parenthesis in the "Time zone" field!''

Maybe simple instructions to this effect could be added to the registration page.

Is this indeed the first post to appear in the forum talk section? Hmm.
