Will the A510 take a 1 gig card ?

I advised a friend to buy this little camera & now he is wishing to buy a 1 gig card for it....had a search in your forums & couldnt see any reference.

Will the A510 work in with a 1 gig SD ?

Why does he want to put a memory that big for a 3.2Mp camera? There will be about 600-900 pictures in the card before it's full. It will be a painful process searching for the picture he wants when he downloads them to the computer.

Anyway the Canon website only give example up to 512MB

But I think the camera will take 1GB
