Have you gone from 1D to 5D/II ?

I am just about to 'upgrade' my camera and wonder if anyone went the same route from 1D to 5D? Basically, I don't need a 1D level camera - it's too heavy and conspicuous in a crowd.

The reason I ask is, I am wondering whether I will miss the 100% viewfinder? I have got used to manually composing and focusing.

I guess in the end it's about getting used to it, but I am interested to hear peoples comments.

I doubt you'll even notice the -4% coverage of the 5D viewfinder. At least, the image the camera records is larger than what you see in the viewfinder and not smaller. That is to say, even if the frame captures more than you see, you have the option to crop it.
