Fashion models B&W Post Processing?

Good evening you guys.

I was wondering wondering what you guys usually would do:

For a fashion/model shoot would you guys retouch the whole image then convert to B&W or Convert to B&W first and then retouch?

I would retouch first, the do B&W conversion.

I would do the b&w conversion first then any overall adjustments you want to make i.e. curves, exposure, etc... . Then I would just switch back and forth between color and b&w when doing the fine retouching. I found sometimes doing the retouching in color then converting I sometimes get messy tones that look fine in color but can be kind of blotchy in b&w. Since switching between the two is only a mouse click away there is no real reason you should limit yourself to either or.
