I've had (and used the heck out of) my S110 for about 2 years now. After taking about 50 or 60 pics at a car show yesterday I came home and started noticing the following problem:

I have no access to any of my buttons or settings in either playback or camera mode. I can take new pictures and they record to the card, however, the camera immediately zooms into it's tightest setting when switched to camera or "on" and will not zoom back out (it actually proceeds to zoom fully into the dig. zoom if I touch the zoom).

I am able to download all my pictures from yesterday off of the CF Card, but I can't seem to delete pics from said card from the computer.

Forgive me if this has been covered, I searched back 4 or 5 pages with nothing like this, and found nothing remotely like this in either my user manual or Canon's Tech Support page.

Is there a "reset" button somewhere I can't see. Please help, my camera is far out of warrantee, I use it all the time, and I need to take it on my honeymoon very soon!

Thanks, Travis

If I were you, I'd call 800-828-4040 (Canon Technical Support) ASAP. My guess is that they'll tell you to send it in to service. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unless you have the funds to purchase another camera, I'd send it in quickly because it usually takes a couple of weeks for repairs.

Thanks Johnny, you have just repeated what I found earlier today unfortunatley. I did call thier tech support, they gave me the address to send it to. And I was afraid of the camera being gone at least a month or more :(.

I even went so far as to call a local repair shop and they told me that noone but canon would work on it.

Oh well, but thanks for the reply
