I post this guy a couple of weeks ago. I checked on him yesterday and found that he's having a BIG BIG lunch.

Yup, thats one big lunch alright. If he keeps eating like that, you'll need a telelphoto lens, so you dont get caught in its web. great shots.

first shot is very nice, could have used a little more DOF but pretty good as posted though. The second image would been better in the verticle format here as I see no benefit from the horizontal composition here, and the legs being cut off hurt the image in my opinion.

Great shots. Lucky for you to have a friendly spider hang around for weeks like that.

Dragonslayer, thanks for your constructive comments. I think I did my best given the circumstances here; I shot these pics handheld with flash at 1/100 sec, ISO 200 and f/20. The next I could have done is to set my cam on a tripod (which I usually am too lazy to do). As for the 2nd pic, I agree with you that there is no benefit from the horizontal composition. Unfortunately, the subject is in between fences, so I just couldn't fit my cam (with my flash mounted) vertically from the angle of the 2nd pic. :(
Thanks again for your honest comments and they're always welcome:D :D , as it's one way to improve.
