i just purchased an S200 elph, i was atempting to photgraph some friends running jumping cactching ect. while playing a rousing cgame of ultimate frisbee and was unable to take a decent picture, some of this may be my hands moving because i am very new to photography but some of it, i think, is that the camera seems to not focus fast enough and the shutter speed seems very long. what can i do to amend this problem? if that ends up not being fixable i can always just take movies those are fun :). well thanks for your reply's in advance i'm glad i stubled across this forum.

Try using manual mode and turn off AiAF. Press shutter button half way down to prefocus and then all the way down to shoot. Increasing ISO higher will help, but I used the defualt 50 to shoot a racing horse rider and it turn out ok.

Sorry for not replying sooner. If you swith to manual (from the menu button), when the mode switch is on record (still image), you should be able to see the iso setting at 50 and you can change it to higher like 100 or 200.
