This is a shot I took of my father-in-law when he wasn't looking... we conduct fauna surveys, and he is looking at some wetland birds that had come onto this site after some very heavy rain... This is one candit shot I am really proud of - it is 'him' all over :)

I like the idea. Could be a bit sharper, and I might crop some of the right side a bit.

Then what ?

What it seems to me that what you really have here is an attempt to frame your subject with the water as a background. I am not sure that it works because, the subject's legs extend in front of the frame (i.e. below the fallen tree).

Perhaps if the subject had been positionned on the otherside of the trunk it might have worked better.
