Here are few shots that I took while training sports photograhphy. The equipment is 20D and lens 200 mm L prime. All of these pictures where taken with "sports"-program.

Now, let's see what I can find in my files. Perhaps I can find some better shots etc.

Cool shots. I was going to come over for the weekend, but I had a bunch of shooting I had to do here in Tallinn :)

they are highly pixleated. Have you downsized then upsized? Otherwise, very nice shots

Yes, they are heavily downsized and compressed... Still learning the ropes with the Photoshop elements. No wonder they pixelate.

Also, I noticed that at leat in my second computer the pictures appear rather dark. Anyhow, I wait what they will look like when I get some prints on photographic paper.

I love the intensity on the face of the athlete in blue/yellow in #1!

#2 and #3 show some interesting info... It looks like the athletes are Racewalking, and I thought one of the rules in walking was that you had to have at least one foot in contact with the ground or else you could be disqualified for running.

If so, there's a couple of clear violations! :p

When you are in Elements 3.0 and in Standard Edit, you can pull down the "File" menu and you should see "Save for web" use the High Quality jpeg format and then resize and save. Works well for me.

Thank you DeltaWebb. Your tip seems to be just what I needed. I modified the picture in this message with your advice and... yep. It works. Thank you very much.

...for DLopez. True. They are racewalkers, the event is mens 20 Km. I think the spanish guys grabbed medals and the number 410 is the world champion. Actually, when I watched the pictures myself, I was a bit surprised that the feet are of the ground quite often. I just didn't notice it when I waas watching the race with bare eyes. But the pictures seem to tell a different story.
