I've taken a liberty and modified this image a bit in PhotoShop. Brought out the sky and softened a few shadows. Hope you dont mind :D

Where were these taken? They look like just down the coast from here.

I think you've over saturated when you were touching it up, there are quite a few colour distortions in the clouds now.

Personally, I prefer the retouched photo, but maybe you should have just used a Polarizer filter in the first place to bring out the contrast in the sky.

Jamie - the mangrove shot was taken at Pimpama, on the Gold Coast, Australia - is that near you??

Nowhere near me, I thought it looked a tad green for our mangrove country this time of year!

The air is clearly over saturated. Ideal is probably somewhere in between. Btw do not forget to saturate the blue in the water (from the refletion) as well.
