Awesome. I love the shot. Nice in B&W. OK I looked at it a few times and I couldn't come up with any negatives. Accept maybe a bit dark but its so minimal that I'm not certain its not my monitor.

Nice pic of your daughter, you're justifiably proud of her :) Not really sure that a studded belt is "neo-punk" though...

Nice shot. I like the composition and subject, and the wall fits the image. The tonal quality on her face is very interesting and I love her expression, eyes and mouth. Pretty girl too.

Awesome shot, thanks for sharing... :D
Now we are all waiting for further pictures of your daughter.
Still... I'm not really in sync with current youth culture , but is that really 'punk'?
Maybe just ask her, she should know...
Best regards,
Andy

I like the starkness of your image, nice deep black tones and the setting suits well. What is the mark on her forehead, it drew my eye because the rest of her face is so clear?

To Andy: Well, that's what she calls her "trend": Mostly "anime" and -Greenday ("Darky") followers. She wears Reebooks & suspenders.
I keep telling her , that Punk is "Sex Pistols" and "Ramones", but she doesn't listen....her trend is more like a mixture of early Cure + Adam Ant + Clash ( As I see it !! ) ;)
To Bikerider : It's a birthmark

Hmmm. OK yes it was my monitor as I'm now at work looking at it again and it doesn't look too dark at all.

Punk can't really be defined as everyone has a different view about what it should be. But heres a little explanation.
Two friends are walking down the street, one friend asks the other what punk is. His friend kicks over a trash can, dumping the contents into the street and says "Thats punk" So after walking a few blocks the friend kicks over a trash can and says "Thats punk?" and his friend replied "No, thats trendy"

Good luck telling any teen what her 'look' is - they decide that on their own and care little about what we think. I am grateful all mine survived and grew up, ~L. I think its a great shot.

Ah, so she's into New Romantic, New Wave & Pop/Goth stuff. Yep, definitely not punk. If she was, she'd be cut up about the closer of CBGB's in New York :(

Hi Freddy, thanks for explaining about the mark, I understand why you didn't clone it out, it's part of her.

Really nice shot of your daughter! I like the angle and the background. One thought, what about a tighter crop around her shoulders and face? Might make an interesting second picture out of this one.
Another thought on the "punk" front: it really depends on where you live. If she was here she would be more hip-hop/Goth. When I was coming up, punk was like my....I mean, people's purple mohawks and combat boots with odd clothing choices ;-) But don't tell my kids!! ;-)
