Im a proud new owner of a Canon G6. This is my first camera beyond a very simple point and shoot. These were all hand held shots generally taken with shutter priority set to a minimum shutter of 1/50 and ISO at a maximum of 200. Im not personally a big fan of the ISO 400 setting on the G6. I realize some of these shots are quite dark my apologies. On my laptop monitor they all appear to be fairly viewable, but I realized when viewing on my CRT that some are far too dark. At any rate, these were fairly experimental for me in regard to low light conditions with my G6.
Im fond of glass. It just so happens that Oklahoma City Museum of Art has the largest collection of Dale Chihuly glass in the world:

Honestly, I had no idea who that was before I went to the exhibition. I had no clue it was this extensive. I only gave myself a little more than 3 hours before closing to view it and since I was allowed to take pictures that was not really long enough! I barely had time to rush through the other exhibits. I mistakenly thought that it was going to be second rate, but I have to concede that it was in fact really nice. I recommend seeing it if you ever happen to come through OKC.
These are not particularly crafty compositions, but some turned out pretty well considering the lighting conditions and the challenge to find the compromise of camera settings for a sharply focused and properly lit image. The lighting makes a huge difference in the appearance of the glass. Ive included more than one version of a couple for comparison of setting combination effects.

Some of these suffered more than others from being hand held shots it might have been nice to have had a monopod or something to get really good slow-shutter shots I tried to stick with a minimum of 1/50 shutter speed (read somewhere that like 1/60-1/80 was a minimum for hand held).
