I know this is last minute, but I need a second photographer for a wedding THIS WEEKEND, Saturday July 24th.

I had a second photographer lined up, even have a signed contract, but I have not had any contact from him in over a week. He has not responded to let me know he received the schedule I sent a week ago, and again last night. Several phone calls, texts and emails have gone unanswered. I have decided to assume he will not show up.

If you are available, please shoot me a note. This is a low budget wedding. I normally would not even have a second photog, but he wanted some experience, and was willing to work for the experience. I contracted with him for $100 for assistance with pre-wedding preparation shots, ceremony and formals.

Because I had a contract, I told the couple that they would have two photogs for the price of one for a portion of the day... The only portion of the day I REALLY need help with is the pre-wedding preparation shots, as the groom is preparing very far from where the bride is preparing and I can not do both. I would like to have the ceremony covered from more than one angle if possible as well.

Contact me if you are available in Dayton Ohio, interested in helping a fellow photographer out of a bind, and making $100 cash in the process.

Paul,
I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. I am available and only 20 min away from Dayton.

Thanks for the offers guys

Kevin - I didn't see your post yesterday, or I would have accepted your offer. Didn't get any photos of the guys dressing, and missed the lighting of the candle... I went to the spot where I should have been able to get the shot, and the groom stood about 90 degrees around from where he did during rehearsal. I quickly changed position and just as I was about to click the shutter, a gentleman stuck his camera up in the air literally right between me and the candle!! A second shooter would have provided more angles, but I got all of the other important shots, so all in all, not too bad.

I'll post a few in the wedding forum and on my website later tonight.

Paul, I understand. It had been a couple of days since I log in and probably would have seen this soon enough to work something out.

Paul, sorry to hear that you did not get the 2nd you were looking for. The commitment I had was too great as I have mentioned to you via phone.

FYI..did you explain the situation to the B&G and try to re-do the lighting of the candle? They are usually pretty good with doing that.

Ben

I will usually re-enact the ring exchange and candle lighting, especially if I am not able to get near the platform. That way I don't have to worry about the officiant getting in the way.

Yes, I knew I had missed it and I mentioned it after the ceremony. They chose not to re-enact. It would have been difficult anyway as the two individual candles were 1 hour burn candles, so they were stubs by the time the ceremony ended.

I try to keep track of the "important shots" and make sure that if I miss one, I give them the opportunity to re-enact it later.

A few shots are up on my website on the front page blog. Just click below and read Joe Marries Dianna.
