Angle is a bit steep here but the bird looks sharp and exposure right on also. Have you setup a feeder in the backyard for them? I have two feeders in the backyard and 7 humming birds that hit them so have to refill about every three days.

:) Sorry Dragonslayer, but I couldn't pull the branch down to make it less steep.:) Yep, I've got feeders out.

Rockyc2, You could set up some snags on which the birds can perch I have done that in my backyard using shepard hooks to hang the feeders on and then wiring small dead branches to the main part of the shepards hook for them to rest on and also guard the feeder. Do you know which species this is Black chinnned or Ruby throated?

Eric, why should I hang up snags, when I got all the natural ones on the trees here already. In fact, all my feeders are hung from tree branches. :) It's a Female Rubythroated one.

Snags would be good to move the bird to a lower angle so you are not shooting upwards as much. I like the hooks a they allow me to get the hummers more where I want them and there are still two trees nearby they can take off to if they feel threatened.

Haha! The Cats can't jump that high. The feeders are about 5 1/2 feet off the ground.:) They might eat my other subjects, but not these.
