Wow some great sharp panning there. Lime Rock is a great track to shoot. Lots of good fan access for some good photo taking spots. The vintage fest is another super event they hold there.

Thank you.. Well took me quite a bit of testings before I nailed the panning part. I say about 1500 clicks minimum. LOL
Great shots!
Thank sir.

I am addicted to that technique right now.. I love it.. almost 75% of my shots were panning that day..

Well maybe a good knowledge and some quick practice and guidance from a good mentor does the trick.. :)

1/50th was really hard though. Its like 50% of nailing the shot. Maybe because I am still a newbie in this category. But I love them as well, I am addicted to it already.. :) thanks ...

Thank you!! that corvette was the meanest sounding American car out there. crackling exhaust that blows your eardrums. Protection for me none!! I was wet all the way.. Camera, just a regular 5$ plastic sleeve that is designed for 70-200 lenses.
Fantastic shots.
Great panning
Cracking set, i would be very happy with them !
Thanks, I am very happy with them too.. :) I wish I could took videos as well.. :)

I've been shooting ALMS races for a few years now and I have to say, great job (:
A friend tells me that the Corvettes sound that way because the exhaust and intake systems are tuned. The Porsche 911 GT3's tend to drone at one specific frequency (I shall now coin them the vuvuzela of racing), whereas the Corvettes you hear them at high, mid, and low frequencies all at the same time. Definitely my favorite-sounding car in ALMS, if not ever.
Also, as far as ALMS races go, a bit of rain on the rack is always a good thing. It gives a great range of contrast, and two bonuses: 1) the "ground effects" of the water going over the rear spoilers as your #8 Dyson Mazdola shot shows nicely, and 2) car reflection on the track, as several of your shots capture brilliantly.
