20D and 17-40L plus using on-board flash. The background was underexposed (read black) and I just "painted" it out. That may not be the best way to fix this photo, but there is so much to learn and this group is so knowledgeable.

Well, I tried to post a picture. Hmmm, wonder what happened.
There need to be a test section in this forum that is only active 24 hours or so. That is you post a picture to make sure evey thing is OK then it is deleted.

I love photos like this.... so natural and they are always so appealing to me. The background "painting" bothers me though....... If you want to email me the original photo, I can try to do a more natural background for you.

Okay....I tried to work with it straight from the forum..... I evened out the background and sharpened it a tad bit.

I love the image but have to question the on-board flash based on the shadows...outstanding image in my opinion. He's quite the little gentleman.

Smart looking young man, I'm sure he did not disappoint on the day but carried his duties out well :)
