A 75 - 300mm would help out in these situations very much ;)
Took this tonight after leaving work I noticed Mum, Dad and baby.
I was lucky enough to get pretty close.

I don't know what's in the bottom right corner, it distracts me from an impressive photo. They're maginificent birds.

The bottom corner is a branch. I didn't want to crop any further. I guess I could PS it out.
Yes the lens will mean I wont have to get so sneaky. It's parents fled pretty quick as I approached. I had to keep a constant eye out for them. But they didn't return and he had a look like. Where did they go :)

Ok there you go. It does look better. I had a few others I thought would look good using the tree as a frame but alas I'm not that good at DOF yet :(
