I have the G2 and a 1 gig Microdrive. I take typical prosumer pics- kids, events, fun stuff, some artsy scenes, sports, etc.

Given the range of resolutions and compressions and given that I have a large storage medium, should I take all of my pics as RAW? Should i use just JPEG on SuperFine compresion?

What is the advantage of RAW and when should it be used given an almost unlimited storage?

If you are serious about getting the best output you can for printing photos, use CRW. CRW will give you cleaner, artifact free images to work with, and allow you to fix white settings and other parameters that in camera jpg processing sticks you with...

On the other hand if you just want all automatic photos for screen viewing, jpg is quicker and works well enough.

Do hot and dark pixels on the CCD need to be manually corrected in RAW format pics? If so, this might be an extra step that you could simply avoid with .jpg.
