It is over the top, but I think that is what makes it cool

A lot of (not all) HDR photos look surreal and I think that is part of the appeal. For most, they either love it or hate it. OP, I think the photo looks great!

I like it, different that most pictures of Rushmore
Mount rushmore looks way smaller than i pictured it.
And in person, because of the distance from it, it does appear "small" but his picture definitely creates a whole different perspective

I like its drama quotient.
If you brighten it a little does it still work?

Nice shot and I like the HDR here. Do you shoot this from closer with something not as wide?
over the top, but very cool
Mount rushmore looks way smaller than i pictured it.It's a combination of where he took the shot from and the focal length. There is still a pretty good distance between the people and the base of the mountain. It is a lot bigger than this image makes it appear.

Bit too much in my opinion.
Difficult to actually see the Presidents at first glance.
Definitely a picture you need to take your time with.

I think it looks great.
They forgot to finish the project (upper bodies were originally intended) and they never cleaned up the rubble.

I love it, but I would love it even more if all off those people were cropped out.

Thanks guys, I agree that this picture could use some work, I def could go back and spend some time on this picture and really get it looking good. The people...... I have mixed feelings at first I hated them, but then I liked the perspective they offered to see the how small and minuscule they are compared to the huge mountain. Thanks for the comments!

Love it! I would have gotten a tad closer though.

The processing is fine, you got what you achieved. Some like it, some don't. I don't mind it really. What bothers me the most is the composition is fairly boring. You have no FG interest but almost everything is in the middle and in the MG too. Next time just go closer to something and cram it in the FG so there's an anchor there and it can help lead the eyes.

I think I would have cropped out the people and tightened up the image to concentrate on the faces and the sky.

My first thought was that it would make a cool music album cover!

Processing is a tad over the top. I'd pull it back to reality a little bit more. Try cropping it to more of a Pano orientation...
I'd take a lot off the bottom and a little off the top. The people in the shot give it a nice "My Country 'Tis Of Thee..." feel.

This is cool. Wouldn't change a thing. Well done. Waiting for the UFO to show up.....looks out of this world. Completely overdone, but that's the point, right?

I really like it. There's great use of a wide angle lens, leading lines, a dramatic sky, and it feels balanced. I'd try to get rid of the couple of people on the right that are out of place, then find a competition to enter it into (keeping your copyright and all rights) or sell it on a stock site for a decent sum.

Despite the pressing apocalyptic feeling, this is a good shot. It's way over the top, and almost too HDRed. I think that if the PPing were a bit less, and it were a bit brighter it could express a feeling that suits this type of photo more.

I think it's awesome ... why didn't you shoo away all those people?

If this were a regular image with normal colors it's just a nice shot. But as he has the image now - if it were mount on a wall people would be drawn to it. It's eye catching. It's the amazing part of HDR where you can take what might be a decent or good photograph and turn it into something memorable - something worth talking about. Sure, many "photographers" (i use the term loosely) may not like it at all. But most who know nothing about photography or taking pictures will likely find it unique and pleasing to look at.

Brighten up the mount and it'll look way better.

Also, there's too much color in the foreground and on the mount. Otherwise, I think it's good artistically.
