I have noticed that at the bottom of my 300D the black coating is starting to flake off. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm really not happy.

Let it go - it gives you that Macho pseudo photojournalist look the girls love!

The black rubbery stuff on mine is comming off a little, started after I used it on a hot day in the sun.

Oh well.

Hopefully it's more like the grip covering on the recent generation EOS film cameras (which flaked abit) and less like the Zen coating on sigma lenses (which shows every possible bump or scratch you could imagine)

What if your black camera turns out to really be a silver one underneath? Sorry, I couldn't resist. I know your upset about this.
(Anybody remember the movie Used Cars?)
