I went for a wander around Edinburgh's Royal Mile this afternoon. It's Festival time again and there are the usual strange people around. There was so many people getting in the frame or bumping my arm that I didn't get all that many, but some came out ok.

Looks like great fun. Thans for sharing.
Sometimes the swivel viewfinder like on the Pro1 would be very handy :-)

Many thanks for the kind comments. I'll definitely try to take some more shots before the festival ends.

I love Edinburgh! :) I was there last October and it's such a nice city (from what I saw). My Mum got me hooked on Rankin novels afterward.
I wish I could be there during the Festival time though. My old pipe band (Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders of Canada) played there in 2000, but that was 2 years before I joined them. I'll make it one day piping or otherwise!
Would love to see any more photos ;)

hey, have you ever gone to the Beltane festival & taken pictures there??
I'm also somewhat amused at your avatar, a picture of Sir Humphrey Appleby, as non-Scottish an icon as you can get while still being on the main island of the UK :D
Nice pics of Edinburgh, easily my favourite city in Scotland (though not my favourite place, gimme Skye for that :D)

Ah yes, good old Sir Humpy, I've always loved his smug expression. :)

I went along to the Meadows earlier for Fringe Sunday where many acts to free performances for the Edinburgh community.

Marvelous. I like that last one of the band ... I've only seen other bass of that style ... and it's the only one that's a little overexposed, probably because of the dark background. Wonderful images all.

Thanks Dwight, you're right, the last one is a bit overexposed. They're a German band apparently, though I can't remember the name (and if I did, I doubt I could spell it anyway!)
