Friends in Period Costumes

My wife and I volunteer every year at the Provincial Exhibition in our hometown. I guess it would be the equivalent to the State Fair for our Province. It is called Buffalo Days and is based on the history of our city dating back to the 1800's. My wife is the chairperson for the committee that dresses up in the period costumes. Here is one of the pictures I took of some friends of ours enjoying a dance at one of the many functions. I hope you like it.

I love the shot with one exception (just my own opinion). The background stage dates the photo. If the electrical gear wasn't there it would be perfect. Great shot though.

First thing I noticed too... The actual subject looks good, but the amps and speakers really throw it off... :lol:
