I've never had much luck getting good shots of Terns. Today was my lucky day. :D

Nice shots. I like shots of birds taking in the air. It's not so easy to do.

Terns are quick and agile.. goos job catching one in such fast tough conditions!

Very nice series of shots here capturing the action, nice exposures but a few areas on the whites are hot, very sharp also.

I think the first one is the weakest also but it was part of the sequence so I included it. As far as the highlights being hot, well, yeah they are a bit but then again this is a black and white bird shot under direct sunlight. Something has to give. :D

I know all about the white and black birds and yes something has to give but from experience normally the color of less area is the one that gives so you should shoot for the whites since the bird has more whites then the smaller dark areas might lose detail but they are lesser areas.

Nice action photos of Tern. What is the lens used to take these pictures? The pictures clarity is pretty good.

These are really good... white birds are hard, Terns are just a pain too. But to catch them fishing is great work!
