I like it. Did you also try with a larger DOF? the symmetry of the rings as they recede into the distance could be neat. Seeing a few more of them before they get too blurred might be nice.

I like the B&W, it works well for this composition.

actually yes, after i posted this one i went back to re-do the DOF. I'll post it when i get round to doing a bit of PS on it.
