Barf stands for : Bones And Raw Food .only dog people that feed raw or know about those diets are understand that sign :) lol

most people dont know that..........or that it is VERY expensive to feed dogs raw (did it with last dog) anyway its still funny pic....lol

Oh, it's not THAT expensive...I feed a lab/border collie mix, a golden and an GSD on raw for the same price or less than premium kibble; then again, when I think of the lenses I could be saving for if I fed 'em Ol' Roy...

Really? We feed our 3 dogs (two Husky and one German Shepherd) BARF and it's cheaper than other food (ignoring cost of keeping it frozen!). Do it for the Husky sensitive stomachs (they get the 'runs' on anything else :()

It is a funny sign and thanks for clarifying the BARF thing. I've owned dogs for my whole life but never heard about BARF. Are the benefits of feeding a dog raw food really that much better?

supposedly they are, but there is truely only 1 way to find out and it is a gradual thing, not a night and day difference over night.

Yes there are a lot of benefits to feeding raw. You need to decide which Raw though. BARF is considered to be a mix of meats , fruits, and veggies.

If you do prey model raw this is all meat ( I will be doing this with my dogs and cats soon)

If barf is an acronym, and raw is the description, why is it R.A.W BARF instead of Raw B.A.R.F.?
