If anyone can clear my mental state i'd be able to sleep at night.
This is a 6Mb camera yeah,so in truth you are able to print any size really.
Just read on the kodak site the largest is 10" x 8" surely this ain't true is it?

I hate to break it to you but the DCS520 is a 2mp camera. The files open up in photoshop at almost 6 megabytes. The DCS 560 has the 6 mp chip.
sorry

Thanks Paul,
I'm quite distraught at this in truth.
Dunno what my next step is now...
I've made prints 600 dpi to try and combat this.I'll get them back tomorrow and cry!!!

You can make 8x10's from the files, I do all the time for reprints from my news photos. They come out best when shot on ISO 200 and your sujbject fills the frame with no cropping. Most of the time my 8x10's are made from shots of indoor sports so the ISO is around 800 and they still look good. That is because I light the gyms with strobes. The key is clean, tight images.
I would not rez them up so big 8x10 at 300 dpi should be fine.

thanks pwg, I've had a 10" x10" @ 300 dpi printed today and looks mighty fine.
I shoot on 200 up to 1600 for evening kick offs(football uk, soccer usa)
The 1600 has plenty of noise but at some grounds the light allows me to shoot at 1250 which looks fine. Shooting swimming am and football pm tomorrow see how my camera works indoors...
The guy that prints my pix(I only have a basic printer) reckons 20 x16 will be fine.
The proof will be in the pudding!!!
Thanks guys for your help.
When I have time I'll put some up on gallery so you can have a titter at them.
