Looks like the sun was pretty harsh when you took this shot and this is hawk of some sort not an owl. I Prefer shots that do not have the hand of man in them but I also would like to have some shots of hawks closer up like you have here, the exposure looks about as good as you could make it for this shot and the focus is sharp, I have to ask what is the yellow background here from?

Nice shot John, good work considering the very bright overhead sunshine. Looks like a Buzzard to me.
