Finally!!! This dragonfly sat

still long enough for me to take a couple of shots. Comments please on which looks better.... the open crop with more of the plant showing or the tighter crop. Any other comments or advice welcome and appreciated.

Richard there is nothing wrong with the first image here other then I would crop it about the same place you did the second and not clone out the one leaf here, The image looks like an extreme crop here as it's not as detailed as I would expect to see.

I like the zigzag effect of the plant with the dragonfly balancing on top but I'd probably take out a bit of the background on the right and maybe at the top.

I managed to get one sitting too...........but it took my new S2.....and LOTS of patience :-)
