An old building about to be demolished - looks like it has been looted in the meantime.

20D, 17-40L. Shot in RAW, converted in PS to B+W. Noise filter added after sharpening.

And here's some without noise - can't decide which approach is best?

I feel the noise adds atmosphere, but I think I lose too much sharpness?

I like some better than others, but the second one is awesome. I think your treatment is very appropriate ... one of the few times I've thought that adding "grain" was a good idea! I'm at work instead of home with my ACD, but I think maybe you could use just the tiniest increase in contrast.

i really like the noise effect with the door knob and the sign. the noise in the windowsill with the door is kind of overkill, IMO.

Sorry, missed this before. Nice work. I love this sort of thing.

Door Knob is probably my favorite here, followed by the power lines going to nothing...
