Using LA-DC52C with the A70

I purchased the LA-DC52C 52mm adapter for the A70 from the Canon web
site. I intended to use it to copy 35mm slides with a slide copier.

I must be overlooking something extremely simple and straightforward,
but I see no easy way to attach it to the A70. I would appreciate any advice
from anyone with experience with this accessory.

There is a little button beside the lens. Pushing the button releases a ring that protects the bayonet mount. Once you remove the ring, you can attach the adapter with the bayonet mount.

Just out of interest, what slide copier are you using that attaches to the LA-DC52C adapter to work with the A70?
