I just received an invitation in the mail from Canon to attend a one or two day seminar where they will be showing their products and introducing new ones.

It will take place in the Jacob Javits' Convention Center on 34th Street and 10th Avenue in Manhattan, New York City on a Thursday and Friday in September.

Looks like a sick day from work.

Guess you might be one of the first to get hands on a 5D, 30D, 1DN or whatever it is that is coming out - we will expect a FULL report!

Hey, I'm in NYC. Is it an open event, invite only, or industry thing? Also, is there an entrace fee? Javitts is walking distance from my office.

Sounds great MDJAK... no such luck here... no letter in the mail.

If anyone knows if this is an open invite please post here... if so, then I'll be calling out sick too... :)

The card I got in the mail has a web address to register on-line. They then have a name badge waiting for you. The site says to bring a photo ID to pick up the name badge. Site also says it's invitation only, but that might just be for the seminars?
