Hi,
In an online search for the Tele lens for my G3, I found the "TC-DC58" and the "TC-DC58N", sometimes at the same on-line store. The "N" suffix model goes for about $10.00 more. Is there any difference in these two lenses? What am I missing?
Thanks,
Larry

Larry,
I refer you to page 183 of the manual:
The model with an N suffix is for the G3, whereas the model without the N is for G1/G2, which the manual does not recommend for the G3.

Bruce,
Thanks! With all the places to go for info - the manual was the last place I thought of. I did purchase one of the 'N' lenses last evening. Many of the online sites do not differentiate. Thanks again for the reality check!

The TC-DC58N is a 1.75X magnification lens. The TC-DC58 - no "N" is a 1.5X. It is true the TC-DC58N was made for the G3 and the TC-DC58 was made for the G2, but they are both 58mm mount and both lenses will work for either camera. I tried them both on my G2 at the photo store. I ended up getting the Kenko KNT-20. It had a 52mm mount (no problem with the right stepup ring), had a 2.0X magnification factor, and had threads on the front so I could use 67mm filters. The Canon lenses have no threads on the front - can't use filters, unless you put the filters between the TC and your adapter.
P.S.
I have seen some internet sites list the TC-DC58N as 1.5X. They are wrong, it is a 1.75X
