Taken on the Hiroshima remembrance day

What do you think?

EDITED:
Yes the chalk markings were part of the remembrance. They suddenly appear every year, presumably some one working very hard late at night, there are hundreds of them. They represent all that would be left to see of you (just a silhouette) were there an atomic explosion, i.e. all that was left (if that) in Hiroshima. It makes me feel very sad.

I'm sorry to hear there were two posts deleted , I missed tham and have no idea what they were about _ I hope I didn't offend anyone! RFM sports- could you tell me privately what the deleted said? The two guys in the first photo were messing about and I thought it did show the indifference, due I'm sure to ignorance and alcohol, not callousness. As I suspect it was these that might have upset someone I removed them.

Thankyou all for your comments on the last pic, in the first one I was trying to get someone just stepping on each shadow, but could only get two, so yes it doesn't really work. I am replacing the removed pics with one other like the last one which, to my mind, is a bit of a mixed methphor. It has the feet of a young girl just out of shot but it reminded me of the famous naked running girl in the shot where napalm had been dropped. I am sorry I forgot the photographers name! Do you think it has that connotation or is it too much of a long shot?

I think that the second set captures what you wanted better.

I think the last one is the only one that is any good really. I don't like the one with the "photographer" (lad with mobile phone) laughing with his mate. That seems more than a little tacky to me. That is of course, assuming that the chalk markings are actually a part of the rememberance.

Folks: Refer to the photographs themselves only. Two posts have already been deleted for non-contributive content. If you don't like the photo or what it represents, move on.

IMHO, the second image really emblemizes the indifference that exists to that particular event. We now have adults who are 2-3 generations removed from the event, and think no more about it than the charge of the Light Brigade or Hannibal crossing the Alps. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but there is a lot of irony in the image.

I agree with CDS, The last one is more powerful, the one with with the guy lying within the lines just look like their messing around.

Hum! That's strange. I was there in 1981 and I can say that I saw nothing like this in the Horoshima museum. I would think this is more of a statement. I don't think I will go into the actual visual picture. But only comment on your pictures.

I liked the first one, because it shows the face of someone looking at it. It seems to convey more to me than the one without a face showing. I know picky, but that how I see it.

Do you have any pictures of the dome cover building? That building presents lots of photo potential in my mind. If its still there.

The last one works for sure with the man looking away and around.

Im not sure what you mean by 'dome cover building'
Perhaps I should emphasise that these were taken in NORWICH UK
