Just messin' around. This shot was harder then I thought it would be. I kinda wish it was a little sharper, but that's something else to strive for next time I try it out. Any suggestions that anyone has about doing these type of shots--please share =)

I like it a lot. You're right that it could be sharper, but I believe you when you say it's hard. I wonder if you used some bubbely water (Sprite or seltzer water?) you might get more little bubbles on the orange slice. That is, if you want more bubbles. I kind of like them. But maybe that big bubble at the water line isn't to good. There are probably endless variations, dropping a cherry in, too, or that sort of thing. The orange alone is nice, though.

its' a good idea, and i think it turned out pretty well. :)

I like the color contrast and composition of this:)

I like this a lot. the colors and contrast are really good. Seltzer water may work well if you're after more bubbles.

how did you do this shot in the first place?

any special equipment?

no special equipment, just put the camera on a tripod, got a bowl of water and set it on a chair and then dropped the orange. I did put white paper behind and on the chair, so the chair wasn't distracting.

Keep doing them...theyre great!
Lets see some more.

I'd be interested in how you got the timing right

Trial and error. Counting how long it took for the timer on my camera to go off.

You did a great job. Just wondering, when you said trial and error, how many pictures did you take before you took this photo?
