I found this butterfly inside the greenhouse at a place I shoot and it was still pumping up it's wings with blood and wasn't able to fly at the time I found it, I really didn't like the way it was down in the grasses here but I think the shot turned out pretty nice considering. You might notice a small drop of fluid near the end of the abdomen here and that is excess fluid being expelled from this butterfly.

Nicely done, Eric. I especially like the pastel background.

Eric, I think it turns out great. I would not know it's down in the grasses if you didn't tell. The funny thing about this shot is that I notice that there is an "X mark" in this guy's eye. As we all know an "X" in the cartoon world signifies death:cool: ;) . Anyway, it's a great shot. Thanks also for the info pertaining to the excessive fluid, btw.

Cool shot Eric. I've never really noticed one hanging upside down before.
